SU Chaplains play an invaluable role in contributing towards the building of healthy school communities.

Working from SU’s ELEVATE framework, based on community development and youth work principles. SU Chaplains facilitate programs that increase student engagement, improve wellbeing outcomes, and strengthen links between students, families, teachers and the broader community.

SU Chaplains work in partnership with school leadership and existing wellbeing support structures, and tailor their programs and support strategies to meet the specific needs of their school community.

SU has a wide range of quality programs, partnerships and expertise, providing excellent support to Chaplains and schools.

“Keysborough College is a multi-ethnic lower socio-economic school community. We have SU Chaplains on each of our two Campuses. We have been particularly fortunate in the quality of the Chaplains we have employed with the assistance of SU Victoria.

Our Chaplains effectively identify the needs within groups of students and run programs that successfully meet those needs.”

– Andrew Sloane, Campus Principal, Keysborough College
