Summer Mission Returns for Easter

St Cuthbert's full of participants from Lorne SUFM

After running our regular SUFM at Lorne over summer, the community at St Cuthbert’s Uniting Church invited us back for Easter. We held a community Easter egg hunt, had a waterslide down the lawn, and a worship night, inviting local and holidaying families to join in with the activities and explore the Easter story together. Heaps of people came—more than we expected! Fortunately our team made sure we had enough Easter eggs! The free food and activities opened up lots of opportunities for conversations with people of all ages.

We run our program on the St Cuthbert’s lawn, right on Lorne’s main street. We are really blessed by our relationship with the church. They are encouraging of the ways we make space for intergenerational Bible engagement and community fun. We’re hoping to continue supporting the Lorne community to engage across generations, because it’s not just about Summer, or Easter, it’s about establishing a presence all year round.
