SU’s Children and Families Ministry Internship is a church-partnered, practical, creative and fun learning experience in a supportive team environment.
Drawing from SU’s extensive ministry experience in ministry with children and families, this twelve-month training experience is integrated with a ministry placement in the intern’s church. The internship has been developed for 18 – 25 year olds but is open to all. Training focuses on ministry foundations, leadership development and personal formation.
Cohort gatherings will take place in a mix of:
- Online via Zoom
- In-person at the SU Office in Mitcham
- In smaller regional ‘hubs’ or in larger churches with multiple interns
The balance and scheduling of these three modes in will be determined based on the location of interns for 2021 and the COVID-19 regulations at the time. Contact us to discuss the potential of a hub in your church, your region or your state.
The internship involves a 2 day per week commitment: one day church placement and the second day group training with SU.
This practical, church-partnered equipping program is an outstanding opportunity for churches to invest in emerging leaders.
“I loved the way the internship combined learning with practical applications in ministry. I gained a greater understanding of where God is calling me.”
