Role Requirements

SUA is seeking a community networker, leader and activator to oversee and grow our ministries in Melbourne’s Metro West area. The successful applicant will be well networked with and respected by churches and denominations in the region; have demonstrated experience in building new ministries, activating volunteer leaders, and equipping and empowering volunteers to build effective and sustainable ministry teams. Based in Western Melbourne, this role is three days a week.

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • Committed to growing ministry with children, young people and families, and community development
  • Effective in building church partnerships, and equipping and mobilising volunteers and leaders
  • An energetic communicator, with a minimum of 3 years team leadership experience, preferably within a not-for-profit environment combined with tertiary qualifications
  • A team player who is also able to work autonomously
  • A highly effective trainer in Christian work with children, young people, and families
