WildLife

Hands-on day for all ages, exploring God's creation and reflecting on our part in caring for it.
The Yea Wetlands is a little-known treasure an easy drive from Melbourne. The Wetlands offers much to explore and admire. On this WildLife day we will be guided by knowledgeable locals in discovering abundant and diverse bird life, snake life and explore what lives in the water.
This is a hands-on experience with lots to discover, coupled with some Biblical reflection on our place as creation caretakers. The day is designed to be relaxed, informative, inspiring, and appropriate to all ages.
The day begins at 9:30am with some guided groups across the Wetlands, and after lunch there will be an opportunity for people to explore on their own, in family groups, or with newly made friends, accompanied by some reflective questions to discover deeper what we see in the Wetlands. The day will wind up at around 3pm.
WildLife Yea Wetlands is a free event. Please bring your own lunch, or alternatively there is time in the program to make the short walk to the local eatery. All children must always be accompanied by an adult. Numbers are capped and all attendees must have registered.
Also, keep watch for our next WildLife day for children, youth and adults as we go behind the scenes at Werribee Zoo later in the year.
For more information on the Yea Wetlands visit their website here.
WildLife is a partnership initiative between SU Victoria, A Rocha Australia and Interserve to engage children, youth and adults in discovery of God’s wonderful and Wild creation, and to reflect on the importance of us caretaking it in the way we live our Life.
