SU Victoria is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to head up our camping ministry at Camp Coolamatong in Gippsland. Reporting to the State Director, the role is responsible for a team of staff, interns and volunteers as well as overseeing the operation of two distinct campsites.

Cook Positions – Camp Coolamatong

SU Victoria is offering an exciting opportunity to work at Camp Coolamatong beside beautiful Lake Victoria in East Gippsland.
The people in these positions will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of meals at our campsites, reporting to the Catering Manager. The positions are casual positions (usually 24-40 hours/week during school terms).


Western Metropolitan Region Schools Ministry Co-ordinator       2.5 days per week (0.5 FTE)

SU Victoria is presenting an exciting opportunity for the right person to help build and strengthen our work with schools and churches in the Western Metropolitan Region.  SU Victoria is a Christian movement, serving children, young people and families, in partnership with local churches.

Operating from Western Metropolitan Melbourne, this position is responsible for leading and initiating SU’s Chaplaincy and volunteer-led programs in schools and developing partnerships with churches across the Western Metro and Geelong regions.

Chaplaincy Positions – Commencement 2019

Scripture Union Victoria is a Christian organisation and approved school chaplaincy provider.  We provide chaplains in both government and independent schools across Victoria.  We have a distinctive community development approach to school chaplaincy, implementing a variety of programs and initiatives in response to the needs of the school community.

SU Victoria is currently seeking to appoint part-time school chaplains in Berwick, Geelong, Heatherton, South Oakleigh and Wyndham Vale to commence in 2019.

Interested applicants will need to apply for chaplaincy accreditation with SU Victoria.  If successfully accredited by SU Victoria, applicants are then able to be considered for a role in a school.

Applicants will need to demonstrate the following qualities, experience and qualifications:

  • Significant experience in working with children and families and an understanding of the school context
  • Excellent people and networking skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practice of asset based community development
  • Well organised, outcome oriented, able to work well in a team and autonomously
  • Mature personal faith and values consistent with SU’s ethos
  • Current eligibility to work in Australia

SU Victoria is a ChildSafe organisation. All staff and volunteers are required to hold a current Working With Children Check and operate under SU Victoria’s ChildSafe framework. All employees are required to provide SU with a National Police Records Check.  Interested applicants will be referenced checked for their suitability for working with children and vulnerable people.
