SU Victoria Chaplains work from a community development model of chaplaincy, operating out of the ELEVATE Framework developed by SU Victoria over the past 8 years. Through this approach, children and young people have stronger community connections, build positive values and resiliency, and are empowered to transform their world.

Scripture Union has been running diverse and innovative summer holiday camps and school camps in Victoria for over 50 years. Our camps have made a profound positive impact on the lives of hundreds of children, young people and families. All our summer holiday camps are run by highly committed volunteers who give their time and money to support each camp. Our school camps are run at Camp Coolamatong by a dedicated and qualified professional team on the shores of the beautiful Gippsland Lakes.

SU Victoria runs chaplaincy and school programs in over 50 schools around Victoria. The Schools Team use ELEVATE, a community development framework, to respond to some of the challenges faced by schools. We facilitate programs that encourage and empower students’, improve wellbeing, and strengthen links between students, families, teachers and the broader community

With 30 missions and more than 800 volunteers, SU Victoria Missions is connecting with over 6000 children, young people and families at popular holiday locations all around Victoria. On a SUFM (Scripture Union Family Mission) volunteers connect with children and their families, share Bible stories, play games and organise family events to build relationships and learn about Jesus. On a Theos mission volunteers connect with teenagers and young adults, getting to know them, providing a safe place and exploring the Christian faith. Mission volunteers come from a variety of churches around Victoria. They are stretched in their own faith, as they serve in these local communities.

SOAR Adventures equips young people with vital skills to overcome challenges in their lives with steadfast confidence and dignity. SOAR is an adventure based experiential learning program empowering young people in schools. The program works particularly with at-risk young people

SU internships are an opportunity all about hands on experience. The majority of learning takes place out in the community through youth groups, schools ministry, camps and many other programs. The training and insight from this internship provide participants with the essential tools for a future in youth work and ministry leadership.
