First of all I give God the glory for supplying me with all my needs and especially this ministry with SU. I am really excited that the Lord has opened the doors for me to get back into schools, pastor the pastors and spur everyone onto love and good deeds.
I am blessed to be married to Sharon who is such a huge strength and support behind all I do. My two boys which are fast becoming great men also love the Lord and are striving to make an impact in their worlds for Jesus. Josh is 17, Ben is 14. Like me, they are also passionate about music and sport.
Over the years, God has given me a couple of motto’s to live by: – 1. “Indulge and bulge in Jesus!” and 2. “I live to see people set free from themselves and their sin.”
The greatest joy I have is when I see young people switch on to Jesus and begin to seek Him, then surrender to Him and become set free from their sin. Once this occurs, He then begins to set them free from themselves from all that stops them from flourishing and spreading their wings like the metamorphous process of a butterfly. I believe God made us just the way we are but as Max Lucado says, He won’t leave us there but wants us to become more and more like Jesus. I reckon it’s as we all indulge and bulge in all Jesus has for us, lives will be challenged, changed, and transformed into His likeness. No doubt this generation wants to not just hear the gospel but see Jesus in and through you and me.
Over the years God has grown my faith by giving me the privilege of ministering for over thirty years in churches, the last twenty years being a Pastor (Main churches involved with ; Mentone Baptist, Prospect Baptist, Unley Park Baptist, Mooroolbark Baptist and Bendigo Baptist). I love seeing God transform youth and families into His likeness. I especially have a strong passion for schools ministries. Schools provide such a huge mission field and if we can motivate believers in and out of school to get on board and show this generation how to live life to the full, then God will take what we give in His name and hopefully multiply it, changing our world as we work together to follow Christ.
I have a huge passion for music and sport and I find God opens up people’s hearts and lives as we play sport together. Over the years I have also enjoyed learning how to play the keyboard, guitar, drums and as many sports as I can. I love all sports and I especially love petrol sports: – Motocross, Moto GP, Grand Prix, V8 Supercars, Drags, Water skiing. Etc…
Before I pursued the ministry full time, I worked in the Piano industry as a Piano Tuner and Technician with Yamaha, my dad and my own business. My father, oldest brother and I are all Piano Tuners and I praise God for the skills I have learnt from this trade, especially the privilege of learning to work with people of all ages and types. No doubt God was preparing me through this trade for full time ministry.
Overall, my greatest passion besides all of the above, is to glorify God in all I do and make a difference in this world (1 Corinthians 10:31).
