SU Victoria

Our ELEVATE teams consist of key volunteers from the community who give of their time and commitment in leading and facilitating student groups and activities. All volunteers receive practical training,  resources and ideas to assist them to develop  quality, locally tailored and innovative programs and activities.

The sorts of training provided by SU Victoria for ELEVATE teams include:

INITIATOR Coaching
‘Initiator’ is designed to help new teams launch into the first steps of ELEVATE. Training topics covered includes ChildSafe practices, program planning and working appropriately in a secular school context.

Annual State-wide Training Event
Volunteers take part in a state-wide training day which focuses on giving them practical tools and resources, as well as addressing current issues and trends on working with children and young people.

Toolbox – regional training events
SU Staff hold Toolbox events for teams in their local area once per term. The aim of these events is to share stories between teams and explore local current issues and topics.

Director coaching

SU Staff spend a minimum of once a term with ELEVATE Directors helping them reflect and share experiences about their work in the school. SU Staff are there to provide insight, resources and support for Directors.
