SU Vic Chaplaincy
Interested in becoming an SU Victoria Chaplain?
SU Victoria is currently in conversations with primary and secondary schools around the state regarding placing a School Chaplain in 2012.
We are seeking expressions of interest from those with a passion to serve and support these local schools, and a heart to connect with, build up and empower children, families and youth to transform their community.
Ideal candidates will have experience in working with children and youth, understanding of community development principles, and be effective networkers and lateral thinkers. Minimum qualification is a Certificate IV in pastoral care, youth work or equivalent. Experience working in a school environment would be an advantage.
A “decision assist” tool has been developed by DEEWR as a guide regarding minimum qualifications and equivalent qualifications. The tool can be used to assist you to determine if you meet the required minimum qualifications or if RPL or further training is required. You can download the “decision assist” tool here.
To express your interest, please complete the form below and we will provide you with information regarding the application process.
