Join a Team

We are looking for people who are:

  • prepared to be used by God in mission
  • open to learning
  • willing to share the gospel in a fun, relational and open way
  • prepared to work as part of a team

Expectations of Leaders

People applying need to:

  • have an active Christian faith
  • agree with SU’s aims and statement of belief
  • be committed to communicated the gospel to children, teenagers, young adults and families
  • be willing to attend planning and training events
  • be committed to maintaining appropriate contact with people you’ve connected with through mission
  • be willing to operate in a team, and serve team members

Costs

Mission fees vary according to location. Costs are kept to a minimum, at approximately $200-250 including accomodation, food, materials, and administration. Leaders are encouraged to obtain sponsorship from supportive friends, family, and their church.

Requirements

To join, you will need to:

  • be 17 years or older (volunteers under 17 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult on mission)
  • have 2 referees that are not on team or family members, including your pastor/ minister
  • have a current Working With Children Check (or VIT card) if you are over 17 years of age.
  • complete this WWCC – change of details form and post it to: GPO Box 1915, Melbourne VIC 3001
  • download and pass on this letter to the minister or pastor at your church
