Sept 12: ‘Growing Faith in Families’ Training Seminar … Warragul … 9am – 1pm … $15
The opening session explores the roles of parents and the church working in partnership to grow faith in their children. A range of specific electives follow focusing on children and families ministry with pre-school, playgroup and primary aged children. Stay on after a 1pm finish: BYO lunch: network with others: consult with ministry specialists.

If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a faith community to raise a disciple. How are you going with that as a church, as a parent or as a ministry leader? Come along to a free seminar.
Phillip Day has 38 years of ministry with children and families in church, mission and schools ministry. He will be in Geelong on Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th of September to talk to parents, children’s workers and ministry leaders about Growing Faith in Children. Phil’s role with Scripture Union allows him to help churches and families discover the partnerships and synergies and to be more effective in ministry with children. Do you have stories of success to share with others? Are there any issues? Are you children dropping out of church around transitions? Do parents need to step up to share the responsibility of a child’s faith journey but are under resourced? Come and hear stories and discover ideas to help you in your context. Finding it difficult to get your message across? Struggling to recruit? Ministry leaders, small group leaders, PARENTS, children’s workers and teachers, mission leaders, church newsletter editors all need improved storytelling skills to: • help to clearly communicate in ALL your relationships • gossip the Good News even more naturally • engage children, youth and adults as we open the Bible • make your platform presentations really zing! • be more effective in our recruiting strategies • share and promote our ministries.
