Here you will find links to other resources that you might find helpful both personally, and in preparing your team for mission. These are not all SU resources, but they are prepared by endorsed friends of SU.
Mission Team Studies – John’s Gospel
These Bible studies were prepared for use by SUFM and Theos mission teams in SU Victoria by Mavis Payne, Missions Co-ordinator. They are based on a two volume commentary by Tom Wright, John for Everyone, SPCK, Westminster John Knox Press, 2004; with selected passages taken from Rewind, the gospel resource prepared by Beth Barnett for use by SUFM teams in 2011/12.
Don Stott is a children and families minster and has worked as an SU staff worker. He writes scripts and stories, interactive learning through games, and tips on how to use puppets effectively.
Snack Music is a Christian band for primary school aged kids, based in Melbourne. They have songs, CDs, games and fun stuff – have a look around this website to find out more! Snack emerged out of McCrae SUFM and has been involved in creating resources for SU over the past few years.

Chris Barnet works for the Uniting Church resourcing Kids and Families ministry, has worked as an SU staff worker and is a team member of McCrae SUFM. He posts resources regarding working with families, connecting with children, as well as leadership and evangelism.
Reimagining Evangelism – Rick Richardson
SU has a training DVD and notes which can be used by mission teams for training.

Richardson’s book is about how we are called to partner with the Holy Spirit by journeying alongside others as listeners and story tellers and engage in authentic evangelism in this post-Christian and pluralistic culture.
Just Walk Across the Room – Bill Hybels
Bill Hybels is the senior Pastor of Willow Creek Community Church in America. He has produced a 7 talk series called Just walk across the Room. It is aimed at inspiring Christians to take the initiative in talking to people as a way of doing evangelism, based on the principles that Jesus modelled. Hybels wants to show believers how they can build relationships with people who do not profess Christ, encouraging us to listen to the Holy Spirits’ prompting “to walk across the room”. He also aims to teach people how to share their story in a way that connects with the listener (talk #4).
